Our homestay is nestled in the lap of the Himalayas and the midst of the woods, presenting our guests with ample opportunity to experience nature closely and explore lots of unique activities. Kumaon is known for its majestic natural beauty and adventure avenues. Moreover, we also offer our guests some beautiful moments to experience local culture, cuisines, and lifestyle. Here are some activities we offer in our homestay to ensure a memorable stay for our guests.
Nature Walk
At Obhula Homestay, we take great pride in our personalised approach to guided nature walks. These excursions, tailored to our guests' preferences, lead them through nearby forests, valleys, and hills, allowing them to discover the region’s diverse flora and fauna. Additionally, we offer visits to the serene Sattal Lake, an idyllic ashram, and a picturesque church, ensuring a truly unique experience for our guests.
Adventure Activities
While Obhula Homestay itself does not offer adventure activities, we can arrange them for our guests upon request. For those seeking an adrenaline rush, the hills near Bhimtal offer a variety of activities, including paragliding, rock climbing and rappelling, mountain biking, and easy treks such as the Pangot to Nainital trek and the Binsar trek.
Wellness and Relaxation
Our homestay is the perfect place to unwind and rejuvenate. We offer various wellness activities to our guests, such as yoga and meditation sessions, during which they participate in daily yoga and meditation sessions set against the picturesque and tranquil backdrop.

Bird Watching
We are located in a land with rich biodiversity and is known as a paradise for bird watchers. The region offers a diverse range of habitats, all of which support various avian species. Many seasoned bird watchers come to Kumaon Hills to observe and enjoy the rich birdlife of the region. We organise guided birdwatching tours in the nearby forests and places like Sattal and Pangot
Stargazing
Urbanites miss many things of nature, probably the most accessible, but unfortunately, not much seen are ubiquitous stars in the sky. Stargazing in Kumaon Hills is nothing but a magical experience. The high hills, clear skies and minimum pollution make it possible to see star-studded sky. We organise stargazing activities to observe the night sky with proper telescopic instruments and guidance. The panoramic views of hills with a stunning background enhance the stargazing experience.
Local Sightseeing
On request, we arrange guided tours to nearby attractions, ensuring our guests do not miss the region’s primary hotspots. We take guests to the ever-charming Ranikhet, a quaint hill town with lush golf courses, temples, and panoramic views of the Himalayas. In addition, we offer sightseeing tours to local places like Almora, Kasar Devi, Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, and Nainital.
